HigherGroundZ is created by a small but passionate team of DayZ players who wanted to push survival to the next level. We’re not a big studio, just dedicated survivors with a vision. Our goal is simple: keep the server fresh, challenging, and always worth coming back to.

Huge credit goes to P30PLE3ATA — the owner and the person who turned the vision for these servers into a reality. From the very beginning, when we had absolutely no idea what we were doing, he was the one putting in the hours behind the scenes making everything happen. Countless nights spent testing mods, fixing conflicts, digging through endless logs, troubleshooting crashes, and figuring out how to make systems work together that honestly had no business working together in the first place. He funded the projects, managed the development side of things, and stayed committed through every setback, issue, and learning curve along the way. What players see today is the result of hundreds upon hundreds of hours spent learning, testing, rebuilding, and improving the servers piece by piece. The custom systems, server stability, integrations, events, and overall experience didn’t just appear overnight. A massive amount of work went into getting everything running the way it does today, and most people never see the amount of effort happening behind the scenes to keep servers like these alive. HigherGroundZ and Downfall exist because P30PLE3ATA had a vision for something bigger and refused to give up on it, even when things became frustrating, complicated, or overwhelming. Without that dedication, these servers would never have become what they are today.

Huge credit also goes to CH3Y4NNE — the person constantly working behind the scenes helping shape the servers into what they are today. From sorting out loot balance and economy flow, to creating custom skins, testing features, and handling light modding work, countless hours have gone into making the servers feel unique and actually enjoyable to play. A lot of the smaller details players love are there because of the time and effort spent tweaking, improving, and refining everything over and over again. But more importantly, through all the stressful moments, burnout, crashes, broken updates, and nights where everything felt impossible, CH3Y4NNE was always there helping keep things moving forward. When motivation was low and giving up felt easier, they were the one keeping P30PLE3ATA focused, motivated, and pushing through the hard parts. Running servers like these takes a ridiculous amount of patience, teamwork, and dedication behind the scenes, and a lot of what HigherGroundZ and Downfall became came from that constant support, creativity, and willingness to keep grinding no matter how frustrating things got. These servers weren’t built by one good day — they were built through months of persistence, problem solving, late nights, and refusing to quit.
